O calendário da WSOP é o grande atrativo do primeiro semestre do poker live. Durante meses, jogadores analisam os eventos, montam suas grades e debatem sobre os torneios que serão jogados em Las Vegas. A série mundial em 2025 acontecerá de 27 de maio a 16 de julho, com um recorde de 100 braceletes.
Entre as atrações da WSOP 2025, estão torneios inéditos, competições clássicas, grande variedade de buy-ins e modalidades. E também, é claro, o imponente Main Event, que definirá o campeão mundial de poker do ano. As fichas vão rolar nos salões dos cassinos Horseshoe e Paris.
Main Event: o centro das atenções
Muitos dos que vão a Las Vegas para jogar a WSOP terão um único compromisso, o Main Event. Principal torneio de poker do mundo, ele aparece no calendário da WSOP com entradas a US$ 10 mil, e em 2025, será jogado a partir de 2 de julho.
Com estrutura freezeout, ou seja, sem aceitar reentradas, o evento principal realizará quatro rodadas iniciais. No ano anterior, o recorde de inscrições foi quebrado, passando pela primeira vez da marca de 10 mil. A expectativa é de que um público parecido compareça em 2025.
E é claro, essa mar de jogadores também culmina em prêmios recorde. Jonathan Tamayo, o campeão de 2024, levou US$ 10 milhões para casa. Pode ser que cifras ainda maiores sejam entregues este ano.
Battle of the Ages e TORSE: as novidades
Dois torneios de formatos inéditos estão no calendário da WSOP 2025. Um deles é jogado no tradicional No-Limit Hold’em, o Battle of the Ages. Podendo ser traduzido para “batalha de gerações”, ele tem uma dinâmica diferente.
Com entradas a US$ 1 mil, o torneio terá duas rodadas iniciais. Em uma, jogarão apenas quem tem 50 anos de idade ou mais, enquanto na outra, estarão os abaixo de 50. No Dia 2, os classificados se juntam para disputar o bracelete.
A outra grande novidade é para o público dos Mixed Games. Pela primeira vez, o calendário da WSOP contará com um torneio de TORSE. A dinâmica é basicamente igual ao tradicional HORSE, mas no lugar do Hold’em, entra o Triple Draw 2-7.
Satélites: a chance de ir economizando
Para atrair inclusive aqueles que não possuem um bankroll tão robusto, a WSOP promove satélites online. Eles acontecem ao redor do mundo, principalmente na WSOP.com para os EUA, e no GGPoker para outros países, incluindo Brasil.
Na última edição da série mundial, o GGPoker revelou ter classificado 1.000 jogadores através dos classificatórios. O site deve repetir o grande sucesso, com satélites disponíveis no lobby.
